- GENERAL CONDITIONS
Wise Earth School of Ayurveda, Ltd (“Wise Earth”) is a non-profit organization organized in the state of North Carolina, USA as a 501 (c) 3 organization and private school for the dissemination of Ayurveda, Yoga and Vedic Studies.
This online application and enrollment agreement is a legally binding instrument when completed and submitted online by the student and accepted by the school.
- Acceptance of Terms
By accessing WEA’s family of websites, including www.wiseearth.com
and other WEA owned websites, (collectively, “the Site”), you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions described herein (“Terms of Use”) and any subsequent changes, as it may be updated from time to time. Except as specifically stated otherwise, these Terms of Use set forth the entire understanding relating to this subject matter.
- Sever-ability
If any provision of the Terms of Use is held to be invalid or unenforceable by any law, rule, order, or regulation of any government or by the final determination of any state or federal court, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.
- Choice of Law
By accessing the Site you agree that the statutes, laws, and regulations of the United States and the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflicts of law principles, will apply to all matters relating to use of the Site, and you agree that any litigation shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the State or Federal Courts in Buncombe County, North Carolina.
- Foreign Access
The Site is controlled and operated in whole or in part by WEA in the United States. WEA makes no representation that the content in the Site is appropriate or available for use in other locations, and access to it from territories where the content may be illegal is prohibited.
- Termination of Access.
WEA reserves the right in its sole discretion to refuse or terminate access to the Site by you at any time.
- PRIVACY POLICY
- Anonymous Data Collection
WEA may gather from users of the Site, non-personal identifiable information (“Non-personal Information”) that web browsers, depending of their settings, may make available. That information may include, inter alia, the user’s IP address, operating system, browser type, and the pages a user visits.
WEA analyzes such Non-personal Information to help WEA better understand how the Site is being used and for business and marketing related purposes. From time to time, WEA may also share Non-personal information as collected and/or in the aggregate, with our business partners and advertisers, for marketing purposes and/or to improve acquisition channels.
- Voluntary Data Submission
From time to time, when users of the Site request further information about WEA and its program offerings, WEA may ask for personal identifiable information (“PII”), which may include contact information, email, gender, and/or age. PII may be used for internal marketing purposes, to contact users about the program for which they have expressed interest to personalize correspondence, and/or to distinguish adults from minors. From time to time, WEA may also use PII to offer Site users the opportunity to participate in contests, giveaways and other promotions. Any PII provided to WEA in connection with such activities will be treated in accordance with this privacy policy.
- Use of “Cookies”
1st Party Cookies
A “cookie” is a small text file placed on a user’s computer used to store information about the user. WEA may use cookies to track the pages that users to the Site visit during their online session, for marketing and advertising purposes, to help WEA improve users’ experiences, and/or to help WEA understand how the Site is being used.
Users who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should disable cookies through their web browser settings, with the understanding that disabling cookies may diminish a user’s experience on the Site and that certain features of the Site may not function properly without the aid of cookies. - Disclosure of Information. If users opt-in to receive company marketing materials or other promotional items, WEA will provide such users’ first and last names and email information to third parties, so that those third parties may fulfill such requests. As explained below, users may opt out of receiving emails from WEA at any time. However, even after opting-out of WEA emails, a user may continue to receive marketing emails from third parties to whom WEA already has provided the user’s email information. Users are responsible for directly contacting such third parties to request removal from email lists.
WEA discloses PII when required to do so by law, or when WEA in good faith believes such action is necessary to protect the property or rights of WEA, third parties or the public at large.
- Contacting You
WEA may use your contact information to inform you of changes to the Site, or, if requested, to send you additional information about WEA. WEA has a no-spam policy and provides you with the ability to opt-out of our communications by selecting the unsubscribe link at the footer of all e-mails. WEA will not sell, rent or share your email address, and you may unsubscribe at any time through the unsubscribe link at the footer of all e-mail communication.
- Assignment of Rights
In the event of an assignment, sale, joint venture, or other transfer of some or all of WEA’s assets, you agree WEA may assign, sell, license or transfer any information that you have provided to us.
User Accounts: You agree that you will never divulge or share access or access information to your User Account with any third party for any reason. You also agree that you will create, use, and access only one User Account, and that you will not access the Site using multiple User Accounts.
- Honor Code
All students participating in the class must agree to abide by the following code of conduct:
- You will register for only one account.
- Your answers to homework, quizzes and exams will be your own work (except for assignments that explicitly permit collaboration).
- You will not make solutions to homework, quizzes or exams available to anyone else. This includes both solutions written by you, as well as any official solutions provided by WEA course instructors.
- You will not engage in any other activities that will dishonestly improve my results or dishonestly improve/hurt the results of others.
You agree that all of the assignments and exams that you submit in fulfillment of the requirements of this course will be completely and entirely your own work, of your own creation, and written by your own hand, except where the instructor has designed a group project. You will not submit plagiarized work or any work that otherwise infringes on the copyright laws of the United States of America or its international treaties.
- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Any unauthorized use of any material -educational and otherwise-contained on this Site may violate copyright laws, trademark laws, the laws of privacy and publicity, and communications regulations and statutes. WEA monitors use of its copyrighted material on the Internet and will seek legal action against any infringing parties.
- Copyrights
All content found on WEA’s site, except as noted otherwise, is exclusively and solely owned and copyrighted by WEA and/or its affiliates. No such content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, downloaded, displayed, posted or transmitted in any form or by any means including, but not limited to, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, without WEA’s prior written consent. WEA takes reasonable precautions to protect information that has been provided to WEA by Site users. STUDENT AGREEMENT for WISE EARTH AYURVEDA (WEA)- FOOD, BREATH & SOUND ONLINE COURSE
ONE-YEAR TRAINING:
(AKA, Wise Earth Ayurveda (WEA) Nutrition; WEA Food Sadhanas; or Kitchen Sadhana).
I understand that gaining competence as a professional Ayurveda Practitioner in my chosen course of study will take a number of years of diligent study and practice.
At the successful completion of this one year online course I understand that I will receive a Wise Earth School Certificate with 500 hours (ACE ) recognized by and approved in NAMA’s Peripheral Course category. This certification grants me the title of Wise Earth Ayurveda Sadhana Lifestyle Consultant limited to the educational content of the WEA Food, Breath & Sound online Course which I have completed in full. Moreover, what this means is I may use this education to consult privately or in a clinic, share my knowledge gained from this specific course with your community in the field of holistic healing; serve as a community consultant and even instruct wholesome nutrition onsite classes in my community as a Wise Earth Ayurveda Sadhana Lifestyle Consultant. These permission as confined to the dispensation of classes onsite only. Conducting or teaching, practicing or disseminating Wise Earth Ayurveda, Food, Breath & Sound education, in whole or in part, in any online or electronic forum is strictly forbidden. The Wise Earth School of Ayurveda reserves exclusive rights to the online presentation of its copyrighted educational programs and courses.
Moreover I understand that the content of this course does not replace or include medical diagnosis and recommendation.
